Hours: 9.30am to 6.30pm from Mon to Fri. 9.30am to 1.30pm on Sat
Under the French Embassy in Nigeria, the Institut français du Nigéria provides access to all information about contemporary France through :

  • the teaching of French language
  • the organization of official examinations
  • the organization of artistic and cultural activities in collaboration with French, French-speaking and Nigerian partners
  • a library
  • a Campus France space (higher education programs in France),
  • an out-door bar.

The Institute is part of a well established network of cultural centers in Nigeria, the Alliances Françaises, and organizes events throughout the country with them (e.g. "Danse meets Dance" in Lagos, "Kamfest" in Kano, "Life in my city" in Enugu…).
The Library:
The membership card allows you to borrow a large selection of books, magazines, newspapers, DVDs et CDs for children and for adults.
Membership card : NGN 3,000 (6 months) – NGN 5,000 (1 year)
The library opens from Monday to Friday, from 9.30am to 5.45pm.
